Following a break of six years, the most important event of the geosynthetics industry is back. After such a long time, the Polish Section of the IGS is delighted to welcome the professional community to EuroGeo7 live in Warsaw from 4 to 7 September 2022. This is the ideal platform for TenCate Geosynthetics and Solmax, to present themselves to trade professionals as one and the same company, for the very first time.

Branch meeting: „Come together face-to-face“

Engineers, entrepreneurs and stakeholders from the infrastructure sector have already registered for the conference. All in all, around 70 exhibitors and more than 500 participants from 36 countries are expected. This number includes TenCate Geosynthetics and Solmax, who, together as a major industrial player will clearly communicate their merging of forces in Hall R (Ratuszowa) at booth #RP 70! This is the possibility to get information about the expanded product portfolio, the company’s sites around the globe consisting of 19 production sites and the principle of sustainability which governs all of the company’s projects. Moreover the program offers around 110 presentations, panels of experts and further training seminars.

„After such a long break, this conference gives us the possibility to engage with our customers in person again and establish an information exchange for innovations. The topic of sustainability is something which particularly drives the people of Europe and we are looking forward to interesting discussions with our customers and business associates.“

Jürgen Gruber, Marketing Director EMEA

Stronger together

Another topic within the framework of the event is the positioning of TenCate Geosynthetics as a future Solmax Company.

„The renaming of TenCate to Solmax is now imminent and we are working apace to integrate our products, systems and services and unite them under the Solmax brand. Since the EuroGeo7 is a branch event, this is the ideal venue to highlight this process of change and inform the public about the changes we have in store”, Jürgen Gruber comments.

Jürgen Gruber, Marketing Director EMEA, gives details of what to expect at the event.

This joining of forces clearly offers customers an added value: a portfolio that features products for the environmental sector dominated in the main by geomembranes, as well as products for the infrastructure branch. In this way we can offer the most extensive product portfolio coupled with extensive technical support.

The two companies will demonstrate their joint expertise at the conference with the following presentations:

  • Fatigue laboratory test on asphalt interlayer systems, Gernot Mannsbart, Aurelio Ruiz Rubio

“The fatigue behavior of asphalt reinforcements and the improvement of service life were examined in various laboratory tests.”

  • How to protect skiers from a Tsunami, Jürgen Gruber

“A case study about mechanically stabilized earth structures, constructed around the perimeter of a pond to generate artificial snow in the Tyrolean Alps.”

  • Basal reinforcement of embankment over voids and soil subsidence area – new standard XP G 38065, Alain Nancey

“The French standard XP G 38065 for foundation reinforcement stipulates the rules for working in potentially void-prone areas and offers users a suitable instrument as studies prove.”
